Mahogany
We use Honduran, Mexican or Peruvian Mahogany. (Cuban Mahogany is no longer exported to the U.S.) Mahogany wood is still extensively used in fine furniture such as classic highboys and china cabinets and of course stringed instruments. The Mahogany Slay-Frame has a natural color (no stain) and is coated with clear protective varnish.
Guitar Recommendations:
Many Acoustic guitars have Mahogany backs and sides. This is the obvious choice for those who wish to match their stand to a guitar built from Mahogany wood.
